BEST-selling author Bill Bryson and Dennis Conner, four-time winner of the America’s Cup yacht race, will be among “star” attractions on world cruises in 2014.
US yacht skipper Conner is part of Seabourn Sojourn’s celebrity line-up for her 116-day world cruise that leaves Los Angeles next month.
Other speakers on board include Tony-award winning Broadway star Patti LuPone and former CIA operative Tony Mendez who was involved in real-life events in Iran that inspired the blockbuster film Argo, seabourn.com
Nobel Peace Prize winner and retired Archbishop Desmond Tutu is the headline speaker on Holland America Line’s 113-day world voyage aboard Amsterdam leaving Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in April when he will talk about his role as the first black South African archbishop, hollandamerica.com
